WARNING MIGHT NOT MAKE SENSE :-)

Hope

hush

listen

heart’s  flit, fluttering,

first sight,

first glimpse,

hope tiptoeing

pirouetting

lust thundering in

drums rolling

matador,

red flag raised,

daring bull to strike,

can you hear it

my heart a violin

 playing,

softly now

luring,

siren calling

waltz

 with me

a top a plateau

as high as can be,

around,

and around

slowly now,

runnnn,

jump

down

wooosshhhh

flyyyyy

soar the wind

up

up

above the clouds

between our heavens

gliding,

floating

waltz with me

 faster,

faster, faster

twirling , whirling,

 oblivion,

play violins play,

thud,

 thunk

rustling,

bed creaking,

REALITY,

splat

splat

splat

hush

listen

violins…

Just to Be

Just to be
Hear me
these shoulders
 heavy laden
I plod in the field
amongst
 the blossoms and weeds
send your angels
to carry me

here I stand
still the storm
around
and inside
me

arms outstretched
waiting
send the wind
to pick me up
take me to
 where you be

I am weary
I yearn
 just to be
send a moonbeam
for me to climb

no minds
no expectations
no obligations
no nothing
just to be

here take my heart
it burdens me
remove the splinters
lodged deep

hear me
I slump
waiting
my God
answer
me

send
 me
a rainbow
a dove
a sunrise
a promise
of what
tomorrow
brings

so
tomorrow
I can just be

Crumbs

A crumb,

please,

a tiny,

weensy,

piece,

whatever,

you can give,

a glance,

a smile,

a “hello,”

maybe

tomorrow,

my drawing you can see,

or a sand castle we can build,

I

play

at your feet,

until

you

notice

me

Hands
In these hands,
a journey be,
legend of the person,
who used to be,

calloused palms,
scarred knuckles,
crooked fingers,

hands,
that should,
not,
be,

hands that scream,
another truth,
different reality,

hands that,
drive me,
down the trail,

you hobble,
walked,
skipped,
toddled,

to the woman,
whose hands,
these be,

hands that,
carried
me,

once
shrugged off,
 angrily,
now
I treasure
 for
now
I SEE

In my bed

 we lie,

all three of we,

a clone,

a ghost,

 and me,

pain roars for battle,

against

my unseen enemy,

to inflict,

the same,

 as was

dealt to me,

my spirit prances,

eager for a war,

lost,

before it begins.

against an apparition,

for a clone,

I do not know,

we dine,

my bond,

his shackles,

next to me,

across from me,

beside the moon and stars,

he sits,

a mannequin,

blood red,

 painted on grin,

I touch,

 but do not feel,

I speak,

 He grins,

here we lie,

a clone,

 lying beside,

a ghost,

who lies,

 next to me

Taunting

 teasing

hinting

toying

daring

we dance

entwined

in

lustful tussle

back

forth

in

deep within

waves lick

constantly

until I’m consumed

insecurity

and

jealousy

making love to me

An old poem I wrote years ago and found while spring cleaning. I have two with the same title.

SAME AS HE

 Stream of life,

flowing through me,

capsize for all to see,

the same in me,

as he,

did not he who made him,

make me,

didn’t the heart that molded him,

shape me,

the womb that carried him,

hold me,

cut this shroud that covers my bones,

the same as his own,

drum of life beating in me,

stronger in me,

than in he,

so why,

him,

and not me

I am a woman so I belong to my husband’s people according to my custom.  In PNG it differs across the provinces. So everything my dad has will be passed to his sons. I can not go home to my village unless widowed  or divorced. While other woman have they are at the mercy of their brothers. As for me, I have found my own way. I am happy with my life but sometimes it hurts.

I tried to stay away but couldn’t. This is my outlet, this is my vent. Thank you for all your comments. I cherish them.

Been trying to have a baby for  a while now so this piece came from that experience.  I wish it was as easy as my 8yr old said, “just go to the store and get one.”   When I sat down to write it, all I could get was the clock ticking in my head.
