Crumbs
A crumb,
please,
a tiny,
weensy,
piece,
whatever,
you can give,
a glance,
a smile,
a “hello,”
maybe
tomorrow,
my drawing you can see,
or a sand castle we can build,
I
play
at your feet,
until
you
notice
me

I saw so much in this at different readings:
a child to a parent
a homeless person to anyone on the street
beautiful and moving as always!

I felt this in my heart, Maiya. Beautifully written. ~ Julie
Julie, thank you for everything.
I hate to think of a neglected children, the words” later. not now ask your father, be quiet tomorrow” Ten one day it is too late . the damage is done.
Sometimes we don’t even know we are neglecting our children. When life gets so busy with work, running a household, the stress of making ends meet. It all adds up. I must admit I am guilt sometimes.
Its sad, the neglect….beautiful soul stirring peice Maiya..
Hey Soma, thank you my friend
Lovely poem Maiya.
